Introduction to Silver
Occurrence and extraction of silver by cyanide process: Silver is found in nature and extracted using the cyanide process, where silver ore is treated with a cyanide solution to dissolve the silver, which is then recovered from the solution.
Preparation and uses of silver chloride and silver nitrate: Silver chloride and silver nitrate are prepared through chemical reactions involving silver compounds. Silver chloride is used in photographic paper and as a disinfectant, while silver nitrate is used in medical applications, as well as in the production of other silver compounds.
